Godrej Industries Group Signs ₹20,000-Cr MoU With Haryana

Godrej Industries Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Haryana, committing to invest approximately ₹20,000 crore in the state going forward. The plan is expected to generate around 40,000 jobs, the company said in a media release on Monday. The agreement was signed in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The group has already invested close to ₹12,000 crore in Haryana and currently employs about 9,000 people across its businesses there.

Godrej Properties Limited will anchor the group's expansion plans in the state. The company has invested roughly ₹11,000 crore in Haryana so far and intends to commit another ₹16,000 crore by FY28, taking its cumulative investment to around ₹27,000 crore. It currently runs 18 projects spread across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra. The company's upcoming projects are expected to create more than 11,000 jobs.

Godrej Ventures, the group's real estate private equity arm, has put in around ₹1,000 crore in the state and plans to invest a further ₹3,500 crore in Grade A+ office space in Gurugram. Together, these investments are projected to generate over 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, said Haryana has become a significant growth driver for the group, pointing to the state's economic depth, its pace of urbanisation and Gurugram's rise as a commercial and employment hub as key factors drawing investment. He said the MoU formalises the next phase of the group's plans and that the company looks forward to working with the state government to execute them.

Rakesh Swami, Group Head and President, Corporate Affairs at Godrej Industries Group, credited the state's ease of doing business and investment climate, adding that the MoU reflects the group's long-term confidence in Haryana across residential, commercial, infrastructure and services opportunities.

Other Businesses Active In Haryana

Beyond real estate, the group's other verticals also have an established presence in the state. Godrej Capital runs five branches in Haryana and has enabled close to ₹550 crore in bookings through its financing arm. Godrej Consumer Products maintains a network of 42 direct distributors and more than 250 rural stockists across the state.

The group has also put money into community and infrastructure work in Haryana, spending around ₹1 crore annually on CSR activities and over ₹10 crore on infrastructure-related initiatives. This has included support systems for construction workers, weather-related insurance cover, and restoration work in public spaces in Karnal and Kurukshetra.

Godrej Industries Group reported revenues of $7.2 billion in FY26 and had a market capitalisation of $19 billion as of March 31, 2026. The group operates across FMCG, real estate, financial services, agriculture and chemicals.
