Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced at the Invest Karnataka 2025 event held in Bengaluru that the state is focusing on eco-friendly industrial clusters, green energy, electric mobility, and sustainable urban development, reinforcing its leadership in India’s clean energy transition.

“Karnataka is not just a growth engine but a responsible one. We are committed to ensuring that industrial expansion goes hand in hand with environmental sustainability,” the Chief Minister said.

With over 15,000 startups and 40+ unicorns, Karnataka remains India’s largest startup hub and ranks among the top five globally. The government’s initiatives, such as Elevate 100 and Beyond Bengaluru, are extending the state’s innovation ecosystem beyond Bengaluru to tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

In a major push for semiconductor manufacturing, Karnataka has already attracted key investments from Intel, PSMC, and Micron. “We are positioning Karnataka as the go-to destination for semiconductor manufacturing, making the state a global supplier of chips and electronic devices,” he added. Karnataka currently accounts for 60% of India's electronic product exports.

Karnataka is also India’s largest aerospace hub, contributing to 64% of the country’s aerospace and defense manufacturing. The state is seeing significant investments in electric mobility, with companies like Tesla, Polar Electronics, Ather Energy, and Mahindra Electrics setting up operations.

“Karnataka is the electric vehicle capital of India. Our policies support the transition towards clean mobility while attracting global investments in this sector,” the Minister noted.

As part of its ambitious vision, Karnataka is developing Twin City, a dedicated innovation zone for AI, space tech, quantum computing, and biotech. Additionally, the state is establishing LCD, a world-class medical hub aimed at catering to global healthcare needs.

The Global Investors Meet 2025 will feature the Future of Innovation Expo, showcasing advancements from 40+ global industries in areas such as drone technology, agriculture, health, space technology, and autonomous manufacturing solutions.

To support its industrial expansion, the government is introducing the New Industrial Policy 2025-2030. “From IT to manufacturing, deep tech to renewable energy, our state is committed to fostering success and leading India’s economic transformation,” he concluded.
