Bajaj Finance Shares Rise 4% After Shareholders Approve 4:1 Bonus Issue

Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance shares witnessed a sharp uptrend on the National Stock Exchange after shareholders approved the issue of bonus shares

Bajaj Finance shares surged sharply on Monday after shareholders of the company approved the issue of bonus shares. Bajaj Finserv mirrored the trend as the company stock also witnessed a rise.

At 11:00 am, Bajaj Finance shares were trading at ₹9,753 price level, up by 4.07% on the NSE. Bajaj Finserv shares followed suit and were trading at ₹2,056 price level, up by 3.32%.

"In continuation to our letter dated 8 May 2025, the Members of the Company on 7 June 2025 have approved the below resolutions through Postal Ballot....sub-division of equity shares of the company.... issue of bonus shares," Bajaj Finserv stated in its exchange filing.

The Bajaj group company also approved the appointment of Rajeev Jain as executive director and vice chairman. Additionally, Anup Kumar Saha has been re-designated as managing director of the firm with a revised remuneration package.

Meanwhile, the company has fixed June 16 as the record date to identify shareholders eligible for the stock split and bonus shares.

"Pursuant to Regulation 42 of the SEBI Listing Regulations, 2015, we wish to inform you that the Company has fixed Monday, 16 June 2025 as the 'Record Date' for the purpose of determining the members, eligible for the sub-division of existing equity shares and issue of bonus equity shares of the company," Bajaj Finance stated in an exchange filing.

So far this year, Bajaj Finance shares have delivered a double-digit return of more than 40% on the bourses. Shares of Bajaj Finserv also witnessed a surge of 29% during the same period.

Last month, Bajaj Finance announced a 4:1 bonus issue. This means that shareholders will receive 4 additional shares for every one share held. The company also declared a stock split in a 1:2 ratio. "The bonus issue reflects the Company's strong financial position, robust reserves, and positive growth outlook," the company said in a statement last month.
