Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl is going to debut as a judge on the business reality show Shark Tank India Season Four from Monday. With this move, the Snapdeal co-founder will join the group of other sharks including, Shaadi.com’s Anupam Mittal, boAt’s Aman Gupta, Emcure Pharmaceuticals’s Namita Thapar and OYO’s Ritesh Agarwal, on the show.
“I have seen many episodes from seasons 1 to 3 as a viewer, so it’s surreal to be in the tank as one of the sharks and experiencing everything firsthand,” Bahl told the Times of India. “The most important thing is the impact this show is having on the spirit of entrepreneurship in our country. Each of us is playing a small role in enabling that,” he added.
The much-awaited show for business enthusiasts will stream exclusively on Sony Liv.

Bahl graduated with a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and then went on to pursue another degree in Marketing and Operations Strategy from the Wharton School. To further strengthen his foundation in business, he finished an Executive marketing program at the Kellogg School of Management.
His strong educational background helped him to get a job at Microsoft in the US but soon after the rejection of his H-1B visa application, he was forced to return to India. H-1B visa is required for foreigners eyeing to work in highly technical fields in the US.
“I thought I would live in the US for a few years. But one day I was sitting in my office, and I got a one-line email that my H-1B visa had been rejected and that’s how I came back and started my journey as an entrepreneur,” Bahl said at the NDTV World Summit 2024.
After returning from the US, Bahl began his entrepreneurial journey by co-founding e-the commerce platform Snapdeal in 2010 and a venture capital firm, Tital Capital, in 2011. Through his venture capital firm, Bahl has invested in many diverse high-growth startups like Ola Cabs, Urban Company, Razorpay and Mamaearth.
Additionally, the Snapdeal co-founder serves as an independent director on the board of Piramal Enterprises.
