Repello AI, a pioneering AI‑security firm, today announced it has raised USD 1.2 million in a seed round to advance its attacker‑centric “red teaming” platform and launch new security products for generative AI systems.

The funding round was led by Venture Highway (recently acquired by General Catalyst) and saw participation from pi Ventures, Entrepreneur First, and notable angels including Charles Songhurst (Meta board member), Vivek Raghavan (CEO, Sarvam.ai) and Satya Vyas (CEO, Project Hero).

Repello AI will deploy the capital to accelerate product development, deepen its threat‑intelligence capabilities, scale go‑to‑market efforts and forge strategic integrations.

Founded in 2024 by IIT Roorkee alumni Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra, Repello AI operates out of San Francisco and Bengaluru. With prior venture exits under their belts, the duo set out to fill a critical gap: proactive security for enterprises deploying generative AI at scale.

Enterprises face growing threats—from prompt injection attacks that can exfiltrate data, to unsafe outputs that erode brand trust, to infrastructure breaches and costly compliance lapses. Repello AI’s flagship platform, ARTEMIS (Automated Red Teaming Engine for Mapping, Identification and Scanning), continuously executes millions of adversarial tests across text, image and audio to surface vulnerabilities and recommend actionable mitigations.

Complementing ARTEMIS, Repello Guard delivers runtime monitoring and AI‑specific guardrails—filtering unsafe inputs/outputs, flagging prompt leaks and competitor mentions, and ensuring compliance in real time. Together, the solutions enable organizations to shift from reactive patching to proactive defense.

“We’re at an inflection point where AI adoption is outpacing security innovation,” said Aryaman Behera, CEO. “The best defense is a strong offense—our platform equips customers to neutralize emerging AI threats before they become enterprise risks.”

Co‑founder and CTO Naman Mishra added, “From day one, our goal has been to reimagine AI security—merging adversarial testing at scale with automated guardrails to preempt threats.”

Looking ahead, Repello AI will enhance its multimodal and agentic capabilities, target enterprise verticals such as healthcare, financial services and insurtech, and expand its global footprint.
