When Bengaluru techie Sachin Jha's wife joined a global investment bank, he did not expect that it would result in closing his Zerodha account. Her employer deemed Zerodha "not a trusted broker" as it lacks a physical bank presence, leaving Jha with no other option but to leave the platform.

What followed was something even more unexpected for Jha. Hoping to share his concerns, he emailed Zerodha’s CEO, Nithin Kamath—without expecting a response. To his surprise, Kamath replied in just 10 minutes.

"[I] emailed CEO Nithin Kamath, expecting silence. To my surprise, he replied in just 10 minutes. The response that followed gave me a $2B lesson in customer obsession Nithin’s team," Jha wrote in a LinkedIn post.

"I still closed my account, but 'They won my trust for life,'" he added.
