Fintech firm PhonePe on Tuesday said it has appointed former Meta executive Shivnath Thukral as Vice President for public Policy and Government Affairs , effective immediately.
Thukral, who led regulatory strategy and advocacy on technology and financial inclusion at Meta, will now lead PhonePe's policy engagement and strategic initiatives.
He will be part of the leadership team at PhonePe and work closely with and report to cofounders Sameer Nigam and Rahul Chari, according to a company statement.
"We are delighted to have Shivnath join the PhonePe team. He comes with a rich experience and deep understanding of public policy, regulatory frameworks, and strategic advocacy," Nigam said.
Thukral is part of various industry associations such as BIF, USISPF, and PAFI.
