Juniper Green Energy said on Wednesday its arm Juniper Green Cosmic has signed a power purchase agreement with state-owned NHPC for the development of a 250 megawatt Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project.
The power generated from this Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project will be supplied to the Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) on behalf of Haryana DISCOMs (Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited), according to the company.
Juniper Green Cosmic signed the power purchase agreement (PPA) on June 28, 2025, for a duration of 25 years. The FDRE project is scheduled to begin power supply in June 2027, it added.
Under this PPA, Juniper Green Energy will develop a renewable energy project, which will be a mix of solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Juniper Green Energy CEO Ankush Malik said this PPA demonstrates the company's capability to undertake and deliver complex renewable projects that allow us to align with the country’s goal for sustainable and reliable power.
"Juniper Green Energy ranked as the second-largest bidder in terms of total capacity won in WSH (wind-solar hybrid) and FDRE tenders concluded between April 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024," he said.
Previously, in December 2024, Juniper Green Light Ten Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy, had signed a PPA with NHPC for a 200 MW FDRE Project for the supply of power to Uttar Pradesh.
Juniper Green Energy is an independent renewable energy power producer in India, focused on the development, construction and operations of utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
The company has grown its operational capacity to approximately 1.45 GWp (gigawatt peak).
