Stride Green, a Haryana-based climate-tech startup, has raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Micelio Technology Fund and Incubate Fund Asia, reported ET.
The funds will be used to scale its tech-enabled asset financing and lifecycle management solutions for India’s clean energy sectors, including electric mobility, battery storage and renewable energy. It will also be used to expand the team and deepen technological capabilities.
“Largely, the deployment is focused on bringing expertise into the system. This could be in the form of talent, technology or various new initiatives that we are currently exploring,” cofounder and chief executive Vivek Jain told ET. “The second aspect is creating bespoke solutions, which will require some capital commitments from our side.”
Founded by Ishpreet Gandhi and Vivek Jain, Stride Green is a climate-tech platform offering end-to-end leasing, financing and lifecycle management services for clean-tech assets like electric vehicles (EVs), battery storage systems and renewable energy infrastructure. Its proprietary technology stack provides real-time analytics, operational alerts and insights that enhance asset performance and longevity.
“We are committed to building scalable, innovative solutions with the support of mission-aligned partners,” shared Jain.
Currently, Stride Green manages more than 3,000 clean-tech asset and works closely with OEMs and logistics players to power their green transitions. With this new round of funding, the startup plans to expand its geographic footprints beyond existing operational zones, diversify into new clean-tech verticals and strengthen its platform capabilities with deeper analytics and automation.
Startups like Stride Green are crucial for green transition especially in current times when India has surpassed China as a destination for clean technology funding in recent months. In fact, deals worth about $2.4 billion were completed in the third quarter of 2024, which is more than four times the value of those in China and the second-highest total globally behind the US, data compiled by BloombergNEF show.
