Indian YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as Beer Biceps, found himself in turmoil after appearing on comedian Samay Raina's ‘India’s Got Latent’ show. Following a formal complaint, the Mumbai police have initiated an inquiry against them and organisers of the show over alleged controversial and offensive remarks made during the broadcast.

The comments, said to be made in jest, sparked widespread public outrage. The complaint filed against the organisers and participants allege that they deliberately made obscene remarks about women’s private parts to gain popularity and financial benefits through the online broadcast.

"Everyone has freedom of speech, but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others. In our society, we have made some rules, if someone violates them, it is absolutely wrong, and action should be taken against them,” said Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in response to the ongoing fiasco.

Public Outrage Sparks Allahbadia’s Apology

After the massive outrage, Allahbadia issued a video apology, admitting his mistakes.

"My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I'm just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and, obviously, this is not how I wish to use it," he said.

Responding to his video, an X user commented, "The problem is ppl used to see you with respect. These comments coming from you were unacceptable."
