The escalating multifront conflict in West Asia "continues to cast shadow on energy and logistics", said Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, during the 33rd Annual General Meeting of the port-to-airport conglomerate.

"The world around us has changed dramatically over the past 12 months. Over 60 nations went to the polls, borders were redrawn, alliances tested, and economies shaken. In the Middle East, war continues to cast shadow on energy and logistics," Adani said in an over 30-minute long speech.

Adani Group chairman also touched on subjects like Operation Sindoor, the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, and the bribery charges his company faces in the US. He also told investors that they plan to invest $15–20 billion over the next five years as capital expenditure.

Here are the top highlights from his speech:

  1. Gautam Adani began his address at the AGM with a salute to "brave men and women in uniform" for Operation Sindoor, the military operation launched after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

  2.  He claimed that drones built by Adani "became the eyes in the skies as well as the swords of attack" during the conflict with Pakistan and that their anti-drone systems "helped protect our (Indian) forces and citizens."

  3. Mentioning the tragic crash of the Air India flight in Ahmedabad earlier this month, which killed at least 270, Adani said, "So many dreams were silenced in an instant."

  4. Adani once again denied being charged in the US under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). “We proved that the true leadership is not built in sunshine but is constructed in the fire of crisis. This was tested again last year when we faced allegations from the US Department of Justice relating to Adani Green Energy. Despite all the noise, the facts are that no one from the Adani Group has been charged with violating FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and conspiring to obstruct justice,” he said.

  5. The Adani Group Chair said that the conglomerate's revenue grew 7% to ₹2.71 lakh crore, EBITDA rose 8.2% to ₹89,806 crore, and the net debt-to-EBITDA ratio remained healthy at 2.6x during FY25.

  6. He announced that the group expects annual capex of $15–20 billion over the next five years, focusing on infrastructure development across India.

  7. On the controversial Dharavi Redevelopment project, Adani said, "Our Dharavi social mission is uplifting youth through skilling, healthcare and employment programmes. Over 1 million will move from narrow lanes to townships that will feature spacious layout, dual toilets, open spaces, schools, hospitals, transit hubs and parks."

  8. Adani Energy Solutions has secured nearly ₹44,000 crore in transmission orders and is executing ₹13,600 crore worth of smart metering projects to modernise India’s power grid, he noted.

  9. Adding that Adani Green is building the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda, aiming for 50 GW of green power by 2030, with a combined group target of 100 GW through thermal, renewable, and hydro sources.

  10. Mentioning Adani Group's recent foray into the hospital sector, Gautam Adani recalled his family's pledge of ₹60,000 crore three years ago to transform healthcare, education, and skill development in India. As part of this mission, the 'Adani Healthcare Temples' — 1,000-bed world-class, affordable campuses with medical colleges and research centres — are being developed in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, he said. The Mayo Clinic is partnering with Adani to build a future-ready, AI-driven, patient-centric healthcare ecosystem.
