Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani received ‘Newsmaker of the Year’ award at the Express Awards for Women Entrepreneurship on April 5. While receiving the award, Isha thanked her billionaire father and mother, Nita Ambani, for the opportunities they offered her to thrive in life.
“I am really lucky to have been raised by parents who truly believed that I was no different from my brothers. If at all, I felt like the only child in my family...My parents always, always, always made me feel, maybe unfairly so, but superior to my brothers. So if there was a choice between an opportunity, it would first come to me, and for that, I will forever be grateful,” said Isha Ambani at the award ceremony.
Isha, a non-executive director of Reliance Retail, featured on the 2024 Hurun India Under35s list. The list celebrates the significant impact made by 150 entrepreneurs aged 35 and below across India. Additionally, she received the GenNext Entrepreneur Award at the Forbes India Leaders Awards 2023.
