Flipkart has been focusing on the travel vertical for a while. The company entered the hotel booking system in 2022. Under this, both domestic and international travellers can make bookings across 300,000 hotels. Similarly, the company entered the flight booking segment with ‘Flipkart Flight’.
Through this, consumers can book both international and domestic flights. In an earlier statement, talking about the expansion into the travel segment, the company said, “New travel trends like exploring lesser-known destinations, work-cations, long stays, and vacation rentals are becoming mainstream. These developments are giving a boost to the travel industry.”
