Copper prices fell ₹27.85 to ₹1,144.70 per kilogram in the futures trade on Thursday, weighed down by muted demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper for April delivery slipped ₹27.85, or 2.38%, to ₹1,144.70 per kg in a business turnover of 1,340 lots.

Traders said subdued domestic demand from consuming industries weighed on copper prices in futures trade.
