Trump Speaks to Zelenskyy, NATO Leaders

The White House said that after the conclusion of the summit, the US President spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and also to with NATO leaders early Saturday.

Trump secured no agreement to end Russia's war in Ukraine. The US President announced that he and his Russian counterpart did not reach a deal to end the war. "There's no deal until there's a deal," he added.

While speaking in an interview with Fox News Channel before leaving Alaska, Trump insisted that the onus going forward might be on Zelenskyy to get it done, but said there would also be some involvement from European nations.

Trump did not speak to reporters on his flight back to Washington. However, when his aircraft landed, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump was on the phone with NATO leaders after a lengthy call with Zelenskyy.

As of Saturday, there was no immediate comment from Zelenskyy or from European leaders on the matter.
