I read books that invigorate the engineering DNA and the spirit of innovation in today’s youth, such as Marshall Goldsmith’s What Got You Here Won’t Get You There. I also enjoy reading APJ Abdul Kalam, with whom I had the privilege of working as a scientist at ISRO. His book Ignited Minds is very inspiring, especially for youngsters.

I am very fond of all Aamir Khan films, especially 3 Idiots. It reminds me of my engineering college days but most notably, it highlights the importance of passion for becoming a spirited and innovative engineer. It is a very motivating film served well with humour.

Generally, I prefer simple food such as rice and fish curry, but I am also keen on trying diverse cuisines, from time to time, at new restaurants.

Activities that stimulate the mind and sharpen one’s senses are my favourite. I have always enjoyed playing chess as it keeps my strategic aptitude razor-sharp. In my opinion, playing chess is an engineer’s delight and the best exercise to tone one’s mind and unleash originality.

My most memorable holiday has been to Southern Europe, with my family. The location relaxed me, and I also got to spend some much needed time with my family.
