I prefer reading non-fiction. Life 3.0 blew my mind away. The book has compelling future human life scenarios in the age of AI. For now, I am reading Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.

I enjoy sci-fi movies and web series such as Inception, Cloud Atlas, Ex Machina and Black Mirror. In Bollywood, Three Idiots and Zindagi na Milegi Dobara dominated my viewing when I came to India. Now, I prefer alternative Indian and international movies such as That Girl in the Yellow Boots and Out of the Furnace.

I have been playing rugby from my younger days. The raw physicality, power and speed is always thrilling. I enjoy cricket also and watch IPL and international matches at the stadiums when I can. I made a special trip with my daughter to Eden Gardens to watch India vs South Africa.

For me the variety and taste of Indian food cannot be beaten by any other. I live in Hyderabad and have become used to extreme masala. My favourite food experience in India was with Bengali cuisine in Kolkata.  But, I have to accept that I still do miss the non-veg of South Africa.

An epic travel experience was riding through the Himalayas on an old Royal Enfield Bullet with my son. Nothing can compete with those mountains, high altitude deserts, lakes. Kerala, Kabini, Pench and so many other places in India are also wonderful. Internationally Amsterdam, Manhattan and Hanoi have been favourites.
