My all-time favourite book is Poor Charlie’s Almanack, I've never come across a book that has so much wit and wisdom packed in it. Team of Rivals by Doris Goodwin is another favourite of mine on leadership. I also enjoy reading commentaries on the Bhagavad Gita, my most liked one being Talks on the Gita by Vinoba Bhave.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hain are the Bollywood favourites. They highlight a free-spirited way of life and have a youthful feel to it. In Hollywood, I like The Intern and The Pursuit of Happyness. They show how one can deal with life when faced with difficult situations.

I like running because it is not only about physical fitness, but also about training your mind. When you run a marathon, you are constantly locked in a battle with your mind as it is under strain and wants to give up. You are competing with yourself.

I enjoy playing poker because of its similarities with investing. It helps you understand human psychology and weigh possible risk-reward scenarios. During my early days at Edelweiss, I became curious when I saw a colleague playing poker. I played a couple of games with him and immediately related with it. I believe my investment skills have improved since I began playing.

I love Switzerland and Kashmir. I'm fond of cold weather and mountainous terrains. Places that are blessed with natural beauty also give an opportunity for hiking, which is how I like to explore nature.
