Book: Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg remain to be my top reads. The powerful portrayals of industrializing England and Dickens’s mastery over language moved me at a young age. The Power of Habit, which I read recently, is a fascinating study of human behavior which impacts our environment.
Movie : Charulata by Satyajit Ray and A Beautiful Mind are my two favourite movies. Charulata is one of Ray’s finest and brilliantly portrays a woman’s emotions in the backdrop of a changing society in Bengal and Russell Crowe was at his best in presenting the character of John Nash the brilliant economist and mathematician.
Sport : Football and Cricket continue to be my favourites. We grew up in Kolkata when the club football fever for East Bengal and Mohun Bagan was at its peak, although the physical presence of the Indian players was lacking. Today it is the International club leagues which attracts. Cricket of course, as an Indian you cannot be away from. My preference is for the artistry and sophistication of Test cricket.
Cuisine: My favorites would always remain Bengali & French food. Typical Bengali dishes cooked at home in the traditional style can beat none. Also, I am very fond of French cuisine because of its taste and style of presentation.

Travel : I can visit Udaipur and London as much as possible. Udaipur is set in the most beautiful surroundings and one can go there again and again, while, London remains for me one of the most fascinating cities, where I had the opportunity to serve for a year in my early days in the Bank.
