Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the union budget 2025-26 a “people’s budget” as it aims to boost public savings with tax relief benefits, particularly for the middle class. In an online post-budget public address on February 1, PM said the tax relief is a big opportunity for individuals entering the job market.
“Budget's focus is on how the government treasury will be filled... But this Budget is exactly opposite; it lays a strong foundation of how the pocket of common man be filled on how savings of people will increase, and people will become a partner in development,” said PM Modi.
In his address, PM appreciated the budget for supporting employment generation in all sectors, mainly in the tourism and hospitality. He highlighted that infra status given to the shipbuilding sector will not only create jobs but also strengthen the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision.
