About nine months after its global debut, Italian sports car maker Automobili Lamborghini has launched the Temerario in India. The plug-in hybrid supercar, named after a bull like most Lamborghini models, comes with a starting price of Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom).

The car was unveiled globally at Monterey Car Week in 2024. It is the second plug-in hybrid in Lamborghini's High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) lineup, following the Revuelto.

Replacing the Huracán, the Temerario is described by the luxury carmaker as a cutting-edge super sports car, powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors. This setup delivers a total output of 920 CV and a top speed of 343 km/h. The supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.

"India remains one of the key markets for Lamborghini in the Asia Pacific region, and we are thankful to our customers for their enthusiasm and support, which led us to achieve record sales in the country in 2024," said Francesco Scardaoni, Regional Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific.

The firm delivered 113 cars in 2024, marking a 10% increase over 2023. This was the company’s best-ever annual performance in India, driven by growing demand for luxury goods, homes, and cars, fueled by rising disposable incomes.

Key Features of Lamborghini Temerario

The Temerario is equipped with Lamborghini's all-new L411 twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of revving up to 10,000 rpm — the highest ever for a Lamborghini engine. It produces 800 CV and is paired with an electric motor integrated between the engine and the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Two additional front electric motors provide extra torque, all-wheel drive, and the ability to drive in full-electric mode.

A 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery is positioned in the central tunnel for optimal weight distribution and a low center of gravity. It can be recharged in 30 minutes using regular AC charging or via regenerative braking.

The new torque vectoring system and improved aerodynamics—especially with the optional Alleggerita (lightweight) package—enhance stability, cornering performance, and downforce by up to 158% compared to the Huracán EVO.

The Temerario continues Lamborghini’s tradition of sharp, aggressive styling. In India, it is available in two new exclusive colors — Blu Marinus and Verde Mercurius — and offers over 400 customization options through the "Ad Personam" program. A striking Viola Pasifae exterior showcased at the launch highlighted its personalisation potential.

Inside, the Temerario debuts Lamborghini’s next-gen “Pilot Interaction” HMI system. It features three digital displays: an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch driver cluster, and a 9.1-inch co-pilot screen. The system is interactive, highly customisable, and adapts to different drive modes — from Città (urban electric) to Corsa (track mode).

The car’s sound system offers a visceral experience, with a flat-plane crankshaft, a tuned exhaust system, and a sound symposer that enhances cabin acoustics. The sound profile evolves dynamically across drive modes for a truly immersive driving experience.
