It might sound cliched, but I am constantly motivated by change. My favourite read is Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson. It’s a great short story on how to adapt and embrace change with an open mind. It inspires you to be innovative to be successful.

I prefer thrillers. They keep you engaged till the end. My go-to movie is The Shawshank Redemption because it’s about persistence and perseverance — qualities needed to run a business.

Discovering adventure sports in 2006 was a turning point in my life. I used to have a fear of heights, but I decided to try paragliding and get over it. Ten years later, my wife and I visited Rishikesh and went paragliding and river rafting, and thoroughly enjoyed both.

I have always been a ‘Chinese cuisine’ guy. But when I was introduced to Vietnamese cuisine, I fell in love. The translucent rolls filled with greens and a variety of meats, served with sauces — it’s light and healthy! I like the sweet Bun Cha soup and my favourite restaurant is the House of Ming at the Taj Mansingh.

I like any good single malt. My favourite is the Japanese Yamazaki 12 with its semi-smoky flavour. Its aroma alone gives me a high.
