My favourite book is Conquering The Chaos: Win in India, Win Everywhere by Ravi Venkatesan, former chairman of Microsoft India and Cummins India. Though I was partly involved with one small section of the book, when I read the other stories of successful multinational businesses in India, I realised the real reasons for their success and failure of others.

My favourite amongst many is the Bollywood film 3 Idiots. It is humourous, but with a very clear message for youngsters and parents alike — to be successful in life, academics is essential, but it is equally important to follow your passion. Andaaz Apna Apna, is another stellar movie that I’ve watched several times due to its light-hearted humour.

My go-to cuisine, which also happens to be my comfort food, is Indian. My favourite dish is the Punjabi tandoori chicken — hot and crispy with some salad and lemon on the side. Of the vegetarian variety of dishes, I like okra the most — especially when made spicy and mixed with potatoes.

Without a doubt, Switzerland is my favourite holiday destination! The view is outstanding, the people there seem friendly and their infrastructure is exceptional. Within India, Mussoorie, my birthplace takes the cake. I have an emotional attachment to the place and I visit Mussoori once every three years.

My favourite sport is soccer. I used to play a lot of it throughout my school and college days. However, for many years I have not been able to play regularly, but even now I am an avid follower of the game. I do hope the Indian soccer team becomes world class someday.
