My Favourite

Vice chairman and MD of Unity Infraprojects talks about 'Execution' and more

Of the non-fiction books I’ve read, the one that comes instantly to my mind is Execution by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan. It’s a must-read for anybody who would like an insight into bridging the gap between results promised and results delivered in the world of business.

Comedy is my most preferred genre in cinema. One of my favourite movies is the 1960s’ film Come September, starring Rock Hudson and the lovely Gina Lollobrigida. It is an all-time classic famous for its light romantic comedy, lovely music and pristine Italian surroundings.

The fresh and tempting aroma of a simple, home-cooked meal is just incomparable. But when I am on the move, I have a preference for Chinese cuisine. And Ming Yang at the Taj Land’s End in Mumbai is right at the top of my list of favourite Chinese restaurants.

I enjoy listening to classical music. Apart from the beauty of the music, what I like is that I can listen to the same piece over and over again without getting tired. I find something new to appreciate each time I hear it. I think good music soothes the soul and relaxes the mind.

Our summer trip to Maldives last year introduced us to the beautiful world of blue seas and white sands. But nothing is more serene than small Swiss villages with snow-covered Alps in the backdrop, making Switzerland one of our favourite holiday destinations.
