There was a time I used to read a book a day. But now I am more inclined towards poetry — Yusef Komunyakaa, Brenda Shaughnessy, and Thich Nhat Hanh to name a few.

The Godfather defines cinema for me. There is a Don Corleone quote that keeps making more sense as the world shrinks. “Friendship is everything. Friendship is more than talent. It is more than the government. It is almost the equal of family.”

For me, it’s Kerala, Goan, and Chettinad food that I will always surrender to. Oh yes, I also enjoyed eating at elBulli, at Roses, Spain, with the Masterchef Ferran Adrià himself.

I usually prefer rum, Captain Morgan Black in particular with a little bit of Coca Cola on the side. On the wine front, I continue to have a raging affair with Riesling German.

For the past 25 years, I have been able to geologically curate and tag pebbles, stones, sand, rocks, water, etc, from over 100 countries.
