I like legal and medical thrillers. When it comes to light reads, John Grisham ranks high on my list. For a more serious read, it is Michael Sandel. I just finished reading Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, which had powerful, nuanced stories about healthcare choices.

Browsing through this portal called Houzz (like a Pinterest for homes) and playing Sudoku, while sitting in traffic. At home, I am permanently reorganising. I also write, whenever time permits.

I prefer watching biopics and historical films because familiarity with the plot allows me to go beyond the storyline and pay attention to the set, costumes, narrative and general cinematography. My favorites include Schindler’s List and Gandhi.

Italy, New Zealand, Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. More than sightseeing, I like to experience the unique rhythm of the place. I try to get as close to being a native inhabitant as I can by taking local transport, visiting the vegetable market, grocery store, etc.

Curd rice! I also gravitate towards street food (preferably home-made) or opt for South Indian cuisine.
