He graduated from the American College, London, then returned to India and worked in his family-run business. His father, Sundar Vachani, had built the Weston brand of TVs and was a market leader in the era of B&W TVs in India. With some borrowed money from his father, he established Dixon in 1993. Back then he serviced only one customer, Goldstar, now Lucky Goldstar Electronics. Since then, Dixon has grown into an electronics major with manufacturing capabilities in 11 state-of-the art facilities across India.
