Early Life and Education

Born on December 19, 1958, in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, Gurnani grew up in Rajasthan and earned a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. His early career spanned roles at HCL, Hewlett Packard and Perot Systems, where he honed expertise in international business and turnarounds.

• 2004: Gurnani started working as the president of global operations, sales and marketing and competency and solution businesses at Tech Mahindra.
• 2009: He became the CEO and managing director of Tech Mahindra.
• 2013: He was selected for the Ernst and Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award.
• 2013: He won the CNBC Asia’s ‘India Business leader of the year’ award.
• 2013: He founded ‘Titliyan’, which is an NGO that focuses on spreading quality education and developing the life and social skills of underprivileged children in India.
• 2013: He was awarded the Dataquest IT Person of the Year.
• 2014: He won the CEO of the Year award declared by Business Standard.
• 2016: He was appointed as the chairman of the Indian non-governmental trade association and advocacy group National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM).

• 2024: He started working as the co-founder of AlonOS, a joint venture between InterGlobe and Assago that focuses on revolutionising customer experience in various sectors with a blend of AI technologies.

Philanthropy and Personal Life

CP Gurnani strongly believes in promoting child education. He is an active member of the Tech Mahindra Foundation to help the underprivileged children. CP, along with his wife, has founded ‘Titliyan’ an NGO located in Noida, spreading education to underprivileged children.
