A movie that inspires you…
I have watched the James Cameron classic – Avatar – over ten times. Its magical depiction of how all life is interconnected and interdependent is what inspires me. It opens our eye to the fact that in order to take control of things and possess them, we destroy what is most precious – our planet.

...and a song?
It certainly is Luis Armstrong’s  What a wonderful world. Listening to it calms me and reminds me to be grateful in life.

When anxiety sets in?
The first thing I do is start breathing deeply. Then, I think about the worst that could happen and realise that what I am stressing over is minor, and not worth breaking my head over. Then, the stress dissipates very quickly.

Lowest point in your life? How did you deal with it?
When we had to put our pet dog, 17-year-old Bruno, down. He had been suffering long from paralysis. We planted a champa tree in the pot that has his ashes, and remember the good times we spent with him every time we pass that tree.

Any quote or saying that inspires you?
‘Winners don’t do different things. They do things differently’ by author Shiv Khera and ‘A boss has the title. A leader has the people’ by Simon Sinek.
