A movie that inspires me is…
The Pursuit of Happyness for reassuring us about the unbreakable human spirit. Movies such as Miracle (2004) and Chak De! India that demonstrate team spirit are also some of my favourites.

...and a song?
Old Hindi classics by Kishore Kumar and Hemant Kumar always warm my heart. Ruk jaana nahin tu kahin haar ke and Country roads run like a background score in my life; the second one is because I travel so much. What I love the most, however, is dancing to upbeat Bollywood tracks with friends and family.

When anxiety sets in?
The biggest stress buster for me is food. Indian and Sindhi cuisines are comforting, though lately I have taken a fancy to soups and salads.

Other ways to de-stress?
Spending time with family works best. They are the mirror to my soul and also help me stay honest. Also, I live my life as if every day was the first and the last.

An anecdote or lesson you’d like to share?
One, there is always more to things than what meets the eye, so consider all aspects before coming to a decision. Two, believe in yourself and your vision whatever the critics say. Stay on course. The third lesson is from what my mother used to ask me at the end of every day. She would ask me how productive my day was, not how it was. That, I believe, has made my life outcome-oriented.
