That automation and technological advances have greatly aided the creation of a better industrial system is well known. While technology has helped lengthen human life and simplified domestic chores, researcherJason D Kotter says it may have also played a part in the stratospheric rise in CEO pay. Kotter says that advances in technology have enabled office-goers to shift from routine tasks to more specialised work.
