However, with a share of 28%, the company said, it continued to be the market leader in the electric two wheeler space.

After losing its number one position to Bajaj Auto in December 2024, it is for the second consecutive month that Ola Electric has maintained to have the largest market share in the electric two wheeler segment.

The company has seen its market share declining from close to 50% in June last year to 28% in February this year.

However, the company on Friday said that its strong S1 scooter portfolio and sales and service network of 4000 stores in the country helped the electric OEM to maintain the sales momentum.

“We have successfully maintained a strong sales momentum and leadership position through the month of February owing to our wide scooter portfolio across mass and premium segments and our network of 4000 stores across India. We are now witnessing a strong demand beyond urban cities, from tier 3 and tier 4 towns,” a company spokesperson said in the statement.

However, it said that its vehicle registration number has reduced on the VAHAN portal for the month of February due to the company’s renegotiated terms with its vehicle registration agencies to lower costs and improve efficiency.

The company will start the delivery of its motorcycle series Roadster from March, the spokesperson said. “We are confident of further accelerating the EV adoption across the two wheeler category in India,” it added.

With its Roadster series, Ola Electric has forayed into the electric motorcycle segment. The entry level model starts from Rs 74999 for the Roadster X and goes up to Rs 154999 for Roadster X+.
