Swiggy Enters Professional Services Market with AI-Powered App ‘Pyng’

Food and grocery delivery platform Swiggy has launched a new consumer app called ‘Pyng’ to expand its professional services market. The artificial intelligence platform has been designed to simplify access to thousands of verified professionals across various specialisations.

Pyng is an online marketplace that addresses the increasing yet unmet demands of urban consumers. These consumers are often overwhelmed by endless online searches for reliable, skilled professionals. With the help of AI, the app aims to make access to verified professionals more efficient and dependable.

“As our lives become increasingly fast-paced, the demand for professional assistance --- from tax planners and counselors to yoga trainers --- if growing across both personal and professional spheres,” said Nandan Reddy, cofounder and head of innovation at Swiggy.

He said the AI platform will empower individual providers and bring structure to consumers’ latent needs, connecting them with reliable experts who deliver real value. In addition, the platform also offers a money-back guarantee in case users do not find value in the service.

The application has two AI assistants --- one is ‘search assistant’ who understands user queries and their nuances to recommend the most relevant professionals as per individual needs and the other one is ‘professional’s personal assistant’ which enables users to explore a professional’s offerings and suggest the suitable way to fulfill their needs.

Swiggy, in an official statement, claimed that the app has been rapidly onboarding professionals. It has more than 1000 professionals across various specialisations like health & wellness experts, financial advisors, astrologers, spiritual experts, event planners, educational trainers, etc.

The app is currently live for users only in Bengaluru. Swiggy’s entry into the professional services market adds to the company’s mission to elevate the quality of life by offering unparalleled convenience.
