Swiggy has introduced a B2B platform called 'Assure' to supply kitchen essentials to restaurants.
Swiggy's Assure platform will rival Zomato's B2B supply division Hyperpure.
Launched in September last year, the app enables hotels, restaurants and caterers to source fresh locally sourced ingredients directly from the platform.
The platform allows businesses to order a variety of items including vegetables, fruits, oil, ghee, dairy and imported products.
Scootsy Logistics Private Limited is a subsidiary of Swiggy that owns and operates Assure. It will handle the deliveries of Assure.
Swiggy is expanding into new categories to boost its revenue. To strengthen its presence in quick commerce it has introduced a seprate app SNACC for fast food delivery. Additionally, it offers 10-minute food delivery through its Bolt service on its main app.
