Favourite Book
Roberto Benigni’s Life is Beautiful makes it to the top spot in her list of films
Favourite Book
The truthful answer is ‘many’, but I’ll settle for The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho for its myriad meanings, of which the manifestation mantra holds true in my life: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
Favourite Movie
Tough one. There’s a whole range again. For today, I’ll pick Roberto Benigni’s Life is Beautiful. It endorses my central belief in life: love is the answer, always! And from that very love blooms joy, optimism, imagination, resilience and meaning.
Favourite Sport
To watch, tennis. To indulge in, swimming. Natural waters preferred. A swim in the waters of Hot Water Beach, New Zealand with an unexpected pod of dolphins for company is particularly etched in my memory.
Favourite Cuisine
Anything made with local, fresh, flavourful ingredients with a dose of love being the secret sauce. It’s not just food, it’s a celebration of simplicity, authenticity and heart on a plate.
Favourite Holiday Destination
Tough one again. Travel has always been a big part of my life and also a great teacher. I suppose anything with beauty of some kind: natural, heritage, history, people and culture. Places that evoke a sense of wonder and offer a glimpse into stories beyond my own always stay with me.
