- Mercedes-Benz plans to increase prices early next year to offset the impact of a weakened rupee against the euro, according to MD & CEO Santosh Iyer.
- Prices were already increased by around 3.5-4% this year.
- The current pricing is around ₹93-94 to the euro, while the euro has risen to 103, prompting the need for further increases.
- Iyer noted the company is delaying the price hike but sees no long-term alternative.
- The company expects the market to absorb higher prices if macroeconomic conditions improve and purchasing power increases.
