Maruti Suzuki aims to sell around 9 lakh CNG vehicles in FY27, a nearly 30% increase over the previous fiscal, driven by strong demand following fuel price hikes linked to the West Asia conflict.
The automaker sold 2.2 lakh CNG vehicles in the April-June quarter, up 58% year-on-year, and CNG vehicles accounted for 42% of its total sales last month.
Demand for CNG models has expanded beyond small cars to SUVs, prompting Maruti Suzuki to introduce underbody CNG technology in the new Brezza S-CNG.
