Apple launched its first foldable, the iPhone Duo, at ₹2,99,900 in India, seven years after Samsung pioneered the category.
The device adopts a short and wide "passport" design, runs on the 2nm A20 Pro chip, and is priced well above Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi foldables.
Analysts expect Apple to become the largest foldable vendor by 2027, though affordability remains the biggest barrier to mass adoption.
