With its brand promise ‘Get The Future You Want’, global IT services giant Capgemini came to the rescue of scores of its clients as the pandemic-induced work-from-home situation necessitated a shift to cloud services. As the world slowly limps back to normalcy, Ashwin Yardi, CEO-India, Capgemini, lists five ways how the way we work will be redefined in the future:

Work Model

The hybrid model of work is here to stay. Work-life balance will have the single biggest impact on the way we work and organisations have to get it right in order to thrive.

Talent Sourcing

Hiring a fluid workforce, which includes freelancers, independent and gig workers, is the new norm, as it enables innovation and getting talent with niche skills.

Leadership

Leadership has been redefined by the ability to empower employees and manage the workforce effectively.

Data and Technology

Technology can help detect and address signs of burnout and excessive stress among employees. Behavior analytics can be deployed to predict such risks.

Learning and Development

These will be key in realising future business strategies. In fact, building a culture of continuous learning is the way forward. Today, organisations are exploring technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality and immersive simulations for learning and development in a remote workforce.
