My Favourite

MD & CEO of Times Television Network talks about his favourite holiday destination and more

I like to listen to just about anything — from Michael Jackson to the Beatles and from Kishore Kumar to Pink Floyd. I like music that is groovy, makes me tap my feet, or relaxes me. These days, I love Ooh la la of The Dirty Picture. I’m also excited about attending the Mahindra Blues Festival. I wish I could find more time in my busy schedule to attend more live concerts.

I love to explore new places. I recently holidayed in Italy. The history, culture — not to mention the food! — makes it a great holiday destination. The view of the sea from the cliffs at Positano is one of the best. But the most beautiful place in the world has to be New Zealand. Never before have I seen mountains, plains, valleys, volcanoes and water in such proximity.

I’m currently reading The Extra One Percent by Rob Yeung. But I prefer fiction. I have the entire collection of Wilbur Smith books. James Michener’s The Drifters is one of my best books. Asterix and Obelix comics are my favourite. You should read them when you’re sober and you should read them when you’re not — you’ll find them to be two different versions!
