My Favourite

Sandeep Chaudhary
For the CEO of Aon India Consulting, running equals to training the mind, body and thoughts

One of the recent reads that impacted me is Achieving Oneness with the Higher Soul by Master Choa Kok Sui. I found this book to be a candid and expressive chronicle of what separates the two extremes of life: elation and despair. The book provides the best introduction to spirituality.

Race is one of my favorite biographical sports drama film about African-American athlete Jesse Owens and his face-off with Adolf Hitler. Dangal would be another of my chosen movies. The sport and the patriotic emotions, in extension, effectively teaches a lesson to our patriarchal society.

Running helps build my attitude and reflect positively on life. It is a great natural drug that helps you feel calm, focused and happy. You have to learn to control your mind when you have to run 42 km. I also enjoy my weekend game of badminton.

I love pahadi rajma madra, which is an authentic recipe from Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, cooked in curd gravy. And during the winter chill, paratha with butter is to die for. But most of all, I think 'maa ke haath ka khaana' is the most undervalued.

I love sampling beer from different parts of the world and while traveling, the local brew is always my first choice. If I had to take my pick, it would be Innis and Gunn, the Scottish beer. In fact, I ran the Berlin marathon twice in spirit of Oktoberfest.
