The Foundation Series by Isaac Asimov is one of my favourites. It’s well ahead of its time, set in a distant future, but it isn’t your typical science fiction series. It emphasises on human interactions and psyche. I also like historical fiction and autobiographies — amalgamation of facts with imaginative narrative.
Hands down my favourite movie is Sholay. I can’t even count how many times I’ve watched it. It has something of everything — the hero factor, strong women characters, interesting villains, great sets and amazing dialogues. In Hollywood, I like the Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars and The Terminator series.
I enjoy playing golf and tennis and also try to watch the major tournaments. Besides, I partake in yoga and trekking. The Oxfam 100 km Trailwalker is a great experience, which I’ve participated in multiple times across Mumbai and Bengaluru. A 100-km trek over a span of 30-40 hours is a test of endurance and not stamina, strength or speed.
A few years ago, I became a pescatarian. So, seafood is my main source of protein now. Also, I absolutely relish sushi, especially sashimi — it’s light and healthy.
I always try to explore new and different places. Within India, I like visiting Goa, but abroad, I prefer the British countryside regions. It’s extremely difficult to pick a favourite.
