My favourite movie was one that I first watched as a teenager — it was Black Beard’s Ghost, a comedy built around the antics of a ghost kept in a bottle. The youth in me takes over when I am watching movies! I generally like to watch films that are fun — the Home Alone series is another favourite. I last watched Margin Call, a movie relating to the financial crisis in Wall Street.

My favourite food is bisibele bhath. Apart from South Indian food, I love Thai cuisine. One favourite dish I can never get enough of is the pongal-vada served at a roadside eatery called Brahmin’s Café in Basavangudi, Bangalore. It’s the best. My favourite restaurant is the Thai Kitchen at Bridgewater, New Jersey. It’s great place for Thai food. My favourite dessert is kulfi.

My favourite sport is golf. It’s special because it looks so simple but when you start playing, you realise the importance of the variety of skills you require to be good at it. The most memorable match I have seen so far is the one-day international between India and England in the World Cup, which ended in a tie. My favourite sportsperson is Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

My favourite travel destination is New Zealand. It’s special because the place is naturally beautiful and you can have a vacation at your own pace. I have not travelled there often but would love to do it. It was where I had my most memorable holiday four years back. It was memorable because of the beauty of the place and also because I could take a vacation with my wife and two sons after a long time.
