My favourite drink is the Sauterne, a sweet wine from Bordeaux. It balances sweetness with the zest of acidity. Normally served chilled, it goes very well with foie gras or a dessert like crème brûlée.

I like the 1953 movie Les vacances de M Hulot (Monsieur Hulot’s holiday). It is a comedy starring and directed by Jacques Tati that mocks the arrival of technology in everyday life.

My favourite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, a novel rich in metaphor and symbolism, which shows how worldly possessions and extravagance are immaterial compared with finding your own path.

I love travelling and my ideal holiday destination is Chamonix in the French Alps. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and was the site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924

I enjoy outdoor sports like hiking and skiing but my favourite is rock-climbing. It requires concentration and problem-solving abilities since each climbing route is a puzzle you need to solve
