It has to be The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. It’s an inspiring tale of a man’s resilience in the face of insurmountable odds. In investing, Margin of Safety by Seth Klarman is my favourite given its rich insights into value investing. Among the new-age writers, I enjoy reading titles from Amitav Ghosh and Booker prize winner Julian Barnes.

The film I could watch again and again is The Godfather and Vertigo. My favourite director in Hollywood remains Martin Scorsese. Though I also watch Bollywood movies across genres, I prefer meaningful cinema. One such favourite is The Lunchbox by Ritesh Batra.

I love Thai cuisine. I enjoy non-vegetarian fare especially dishes such as raan (leg of lamb), which is well marinated and roasted. I have to say that the raan that we make at home is much better than the one you would get at Bukhara.

Tennis is my all-time favourite. It’s a beautiful game and has some intricate nuances. I love the adrenalin rush that I get through playing a competitive set. I play it six days a week for at least 90 minutes in the morning.

I love Mashobra on the outskirts of Shimla for its pristine air, huge mountains. It’s like nature at its best. I often visit this place along with my wife and friends.
