I enjoy reading business magazines and financial dailies as they give me an insight into current affairs. I also go through case studies and success stories, and am a regular reader of Harvard Business Review, which keeps me updated with Indian as well as global markets.

I enjoy playing squash in my free time. I started playing squash in my later years after being influenced by my son, who is into the game. The best thing about the sport is that you can play it against a wall and you don’t necessarily need a partner.

My ultimate holiday destination is Seville, the cultural capital of Spain. Everything famous about Spain can be seen in this one place — the flamenco dance, Spanish architecture, sherry wines and bull fights. A glass of sherry with tapas next to a riverside café is a must in Seville.

I am a vegetarian and I relish Italian food the most because it has a large variety of vegetarian dishes and salads to offer. I also keep experimenting with different cuisines, whether Mexican, Brazilian, Korean or Indian, and especially enjoy local joints. My favourite restaurant is Schloss in Basel (Switzerland), where the food and the ambience makes it a royal experience.

I enjoy listening to soft numbers as they keep the mind calm and cool. I like something that is soothing for my ears and mind, which I can hear while reading and working.
