Joseph Heller's Catch-22 and Munshi Premchand's Nirmala are two books that I consider to be iconic. Catch-22 is a complicated read and demands the reader to be attentive, while igniting fear, frustration and sadness at the same time. I love reading soul-stirring realistic reads that remind you of the world you live in today.

Lion is one of the best films that I have ever watched. I was simply captivated by the story and the simplicity of its telling. In Hollywood, I like comedy films and ones that tell simple stories revolving around human feelings.

I'm fond of street food as much as I enjoy eating at a fancy restaurant. The roadside Thai food in Bangkok and the exotic seven-course wazwan at Ahdoos in Srinagar are amongst my favourite places to eat across the world.

I play table tennis almost every day besides working out in the gym every morning. It serves as a great stressbuster and helps in burning a few calories faster.

A cup of nicely brewed English breakfast tea and the Kashmiri kahwa are two of my favourite drinks. Both these drinks are low on calories; it keeps me hydrated and boosts metabolism throughout the day.
