Bharatmatrimony's founder tells us why he's a fan of music director Ilayaraja

I like Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan, which talks about the importance of execution; and Blue Ocean Strategy by W Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne, which is about building business models.

I used to play lawn tennis earlier as a recreational activity. But I gave up tennis for Sunday satsangs, which brings me mental peace. Lately, I have taken up swimming. I like the activity because it provides a complete workout for the body.

A trip to the Grand Canyon with my wife was quite exciting. When I saw those great rock structures carved by the Colorado River, it took my breath away. That place is truly “Grand” and its vastness overwhelmed me. I would like to go back to Arizona soon.

I enjoy Ilayaraja’s music. Even at 69, his music sounds as enchanting as ever before. I am honoured as an Indian that his compositions have been selected to be a part for the London Olympics this year. I am waiting with bated breath to hear his stylings.

When it comes to food, my favourite definitely has to be the Gujarati thali prepared by my wife. Nothing beats it. I love the cuisine, both snacks like thepla and dhokla, as well as main course items like undhiyu, and the different varieties of delicious shaak
