Raghu Krishnananda, the chief product and technology officer (CPTO) of Myntra, a fashion e‑commerce platform owned by Flipkart, has resigned after a five‑year tenure with the company, INC42 reported.
In an internal memo, Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha announced that Raghu Krishnananda has stepped down to "explore the next chapter of life outside of Myntra." While the company searches for a new chief product and technology officer (CPTO), all employees who previously reported to Krishnananda will now report directly to Sinha.
“After a stint of over 5 years, Raghu has decided to explore the next chapter of life outside of Myntra. As we seek the right talent to take on his responsibilities, Raghu’s direct reports will report to me in the interim. I thank him for his contributions and wish him success in the journey ahead,” said Sinha in the internal memo.
Raghu Krishnananda is the second CPTO to depart from a Flipkart‑owned company in approximately two months. According to a February 5 report by Moneycontrol, Jeyandran Venugopal, Flipkart’s CPTO, left the company after an eight‑year tenure.
Krishnananda, an alumnus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the New York University Stern School of Business, led a high‑calibre team at Myntra, overseeing functions such as business intelligence, design, product management, IT and security. His responsibilities included shaping the product and technology vision and driving its execution to build a world‑class online fashion platform for consumers, brands and merchants.
Myntra has recently launched 'M‑Now', a quick‑commerce service promising delivery within 30 minutes. Currently available in Bengaluru, M‑Now is set to expand to a combination of metro and non‑metro cities across India in the coming months, as stated by Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha.
"Fashion, a highly aspirational category, thrives on a diverse selection that empowers customers to style their complete look," Sinha said, emphasising that M‑Now is designed to eliminate the trade‑offs customers often face between convenience and selection.
Myntra’s launch of 'M‑Now' positions it as one of the first fashion and lifestyle‑focused companies to venture into quick commerce. According to a company statement, M‑Now addresses the modern customer’s urgent “now and now” demand for branded lifestyle products by offering access to popular international and domestic brands with delivery in as little as 30 minutes, providing near‑instant gratification.
