SaaS-Based Start-Up Sharpsell.ai Raises ₹30 Cr in Series A from Equentis, Other Investors

SaaS-based sales playbook automation start-up Sharpsell.ai has raised ₹30 crore in a Series A funding round from Equentis Angel Fund. Other investors, including Cornerstone Venture Partners and Mistry Ventures also participated in the funding round.

The start-up aims to leverage the fresh capital to boost its product capabilities, and deepen penetration across its existing verticals. The artificial intelligence platform also plans to expand into Southeast Asia and the MENA region.

This investment by our Series A partners will help us sharpen our product roadmap, strengthen delivery, expand to other sectors, and begin our international expansion,” said Hanuman Kamma, cofounder & CEO of Sharpsell.ai.

Founded in 2022, Sharpsell.ai is a sales playbook automation platform used by lakhs of sales representatives across more than 3 leading Indian BFSI, Auto, Consumer Electronics, and Pharma companies including LIC, Axis Bank, IDFC First Bank, SBI Life, Mahindra, Whirlpool, among others.

The platform is designed to enable high-velocity sales by empowering field sales teams and helping them improve their performance by digitising and scaling winning behaviours.

Speaking about the investment, Manish Goel, founder and managing director of Equentis Wealth Advisory Services, said that its ₹10 crore investment (largest that any Cat-I AIF can infuse in a single company) in Sharpsell.ai is the angle fund’s largest till the date.

This round follows previous funding in 2022 and 2023 from marquee SaaS investors Cornerstone Venture Partners, and Mistry Ventures amongst others.
